The FTD has a unique and exclusive readership. It reaches 332,000 readers daily (AWA 2011) – readers who have very high education and income levels and hold leading positions in German business. 74 % of the readers are executive staff and
28 % are members of the board, managing directors or directors: the FTD has a higher readership share of top decison-makers than any other supraregional daily newspaper (LAE 2011). Psychographically as well, FTD readers are a premium target group (AWA 2011): they are not only young and luxury ffine, but also mostly belong to the highest socioeconomic category (status 1 or 2).
